  4. Tap the required account you want to change its signature.
  5. Tap Signature.
  6. If Signature is off, tap the ON/OFF switch to turn it on.
  7. Tap Edit signature.
  8. Now, you can enter your own signature here. As the example, you can create your own signature by including your name, phone number, or other information you want to include in your signature.
  9. Tap Done button.
  10. The signature of the selected email account has been changed.

    • Tap Images. It'll bring you to the Gallery app.
    • Select the required images you want to attach into your email message.

    • Select the required option to resize the selected images: Original, Large(70%), Medium(30%) or Small(10%).
    • The selected images have been attached to the email message.
  7. Once done, tap to send the email message. FYI, if you have enabled the delay email sending feature, you can cancel the email message sending before the specified delay time is over otherwise the email message will be sent automatically.

Have you ever been in a situation when you wanted to cancel the email message sending, for instance when you have accidentally sent an email message to a wrong contact? If that so, you can make it possible by enabling the delay email sending feature in the stock Email app so that the device will wait for the specified delay time before sending email messages after you tap the Send button. Before the specified delay time is over, you'll be provided with the button that can be used to cancel the email message sending.


How to enable delay email sending feature in the stock Email app?
You can do so by using the following steps:
  1. Open the stock Email app.
  2. Tap or long press the Recent apps key to open up the additional options and then select Settings.
  3. Tap Delay email sending.
  4. Check the box next to Delay email sending to enable this option.
  5. If needed, you can adjust the length of the delay time the device should wait before sending email messages after you tap the Send button by tapping Set length of delay and then select from the following options:
    • 3 seconds
    • 5 seconds
    • 10 seconds
    • 20 seconds
    • 30 seconds


How to use delay email sending feature in the stock Email app?
With the delay email sending feature is enabled, when you have finished composing an email message and then tap Send button, you'll see a notification message with a Cancel button at the bottom of the screen. If needed, you can cancel the email message sending by tapping the Cancel button. If you don't tap the Cancel button and the specified delay time is over, the email message will be sent automatically.

However, if needed, you can edit the contacts you have added to the priority senders list, for instance: remove contacts from the list or rearrange their positions in the list.


How to remove or rearrange contacts in the priority senders list in the stock Email app?
You can do so by using the following steps:
  1. Open the stock Email app.
  2. Tap at the top left corner of the screen to open up the Email app menus.
  3. Tap Priority senders. All email addresses or contacts with email addresses you have added to the priority senders list will be displayed here.
  4. Long tap on a contact within the priority senders list and then select Edit list of priority senders. To remove contact from the list go to the step #5, while to rearrange contacts in the list go to the step #6.
  5. Remove a contact from the priority senders list:
    • Tap at the required contact you want to remove from the list.
    • Tap Done button.
    • The selected contact has been removed from the list.
  6. Rearrange contacts in the priority senders list:
    • Tap and hold the the required contact and then drag it to the desired position.
    • Release to place the contact in the new position.

You can set an email account as the default by using some methods. But, as the example, we'll do so by using two different methods: when adding an email account and from the email account settings menu.


Method #1: When adding an email account
When you add another email account to your phone, either from the general settings menu or from the Email app itself, within the process you'll be provided with an option to set the email account as the default. You can see the steps to add an email account here.


Method #2: From the email account settings menu
This method can be used to set the email account that has been added to the stock Email app as default. Use the following steps to do so:
  1. Open the stock Email app.
  2. Tap or long press the Recent apps key to open up the additional options and then select Settings.
  3. Tap Manage accounts.
  4. Tap the required account you want to set as default.
  5. Check the box next to Default account to enable this option.
  6. The selected email account has been set as the default.

Change the ringtone for incoming email messages is the best way that can be done to help you recognize that you have new email messages. If needed, you can set different tones for different email accounts(if you have multiple accounts) so that you can easily know to which account the email message is sent for, or set different tone for your priority contacts so that you can easily know that you have email messages from contacts you have marked as priority senders.


How to change email message tone?
You can change the email message tone by using three different methods: from the general sound settings menu, from an email account settings menu and from the priority sender settings menu.


Method #1: From the general sound settings menu
This method can be used if you have set the "Default notification sound" as the email message tone. But, you have to remember that this method will change the notification tone for other apps that also use the default notification sound as the notification tone. See the following steps to do so:
  1. On any screen, swipe down the top of the screen to open up the notification panel and then tap at the top of the screen to go to the settings menu.
  2. With the settings menu is displayed in grid view, scroll down to the Sound and display section and then tap Sound .
  3. Tap Notifications.
  4. Select the required notification tone.
  5. Tap OK button.
  6. The general notification sound has been changed.


Method #2: From an email account settings menu
FYI, this method can be used to change the email message tone for a single account only. Thus, if you have multiple email accounts, you have to set email message tone for each account separately if you want to use different tones for different accounts. See the following steps to change email message tone for certain account:
  1. Open the stock Email app.
  2. Tap or long press the Recent apps key to open up the additional options and then select Settings.
  3. Tap Manage accounts.
  4. Tap the required email account you want to change its tone.
  5. Make sure to check the box next to Email notifications to enable this option so that you can receive notifications when new email messages arrive.
  6. Now, tap Notification sound.
  7. Select the required tone. FYI, if you select Default notification sound then it'll use the tone that has been selected in the general notification sound (see method #1).
  8. Tap OK button.
  9. The email message tone for the selected account has been changed.


Method #3: From the priority sender settings
If you have set some email addresses or contacts with email addresses as priority senders, then you can set different tone for them separately by using the following steps:
  1. Open the stock Email app.
  2. Tap or long press the Recent apps key to open up the additional options and then select Settings.
  3. Tap Priority sender settings.
  4. Make sure to check the box next to Email notifications to enable this option so that you can receive notifications when new email messages from priority senders arrive.
  5. Now, tap Notification sound.
  6. Select the required tone. FYI, if you select Default notification sound then it'll use the tone that has been selected in the general notification sound (see method #1).
  7. Tap OK button.
  8. The email message tone for priority senders has been changed.

You have to add an email account first to your phone before you can use the stock Email app to send or receive email messages.


How to add an email account to the stock Email app?
Assuming that you have an existing email account, then you can add this account to your phone by using two different methods: from the stock Email app and from the settings menu.


Method #1: From the stock Email app
You can add an email account directly from the stock Email app by using the following steps:
  1. Open the stock Email app.
  2. If it's the first time for you use this app, you'll be provided with the set up email screen directly. If you have added an email account previously, tap at the top right corner of the screen then tap Settings then tap Manage accounts then tap at the top of the screen to add another email account.
  3. Enter the email address (if yours is a Yahoo email account then it'll be like this: xxxxxxx@yahoo.com) and the password in the provided fields. FYI, you can check the box in the left side of the Show password option to help you make sure that you have entered the right password.
  4. Tap Next button.
  5. If needed, you can adjust the email account options available here according to your needs, e.g: period to sync, sync schedule, etc. Once done, tap Next button.
  6. If needed, you can change the email account name (it will be used as the email account name in the stock Email app) and your name for the email account (it will be displayed in outgoing email messages) in the provided fields.
  7. Tap Done button.
  8. The email account has been added and the stock Email apps will display inbox of this email account.


Method #2: From the settings menu
You can add an email account from the general settings menu by using the following steps:
  1. On any screen, swipe down the top of the screen to open up the notification panel and then tap at the top of the screen to go to the settings menu.
  2. With the settings menu is displayed in grid view, scroll down to the User and backup section and then tap Accounts .
  3. Tap Add account.
  4. Tap Email.
  5. Enter the email address (if yours is a Yahoo email account then it'll be like this: xxxxxxx@yahoo.com) and the password in the provided fields. FYI, you can check the box in the left side of the Show password option to help you make sure that you have entered the right password.
  6. Tap Next button.
