Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge: How to Create a Short Video Collage Using Front Camera in Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow

If needed, you can use the front camera in Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge for self recording with video collage mode so you can record yourself in several videos with the same length in either 4:3 or 1:1 aspect ratio and then put those videos together into the selected grid layout to create a beautiful short video collage. Once done, you can save the video collage for your private collection or share it to others via Facebook, Instagram, etc.


How to create a short video collage using the front camera?
You can do so by using the following steps:
  1. Open the Camera app. By default, it uses the rear camera.
  2. Tap to switch the camera from the rear to the front.
  3. Tap Mode and then select Video collage to enable this mode.
  4. If needed, you can change the grid layout of your video collage by tapping the grid layout icon (it's located next to the settings icon) and then select the desired one. As the example, we'll select 2x2 grid layout in 4:3 aspect ratio.
  5. If needed, you can also adjust the length of the recording time of your video collage by tapping and then select 3 seconds, 6 seconds, 9 seconds, or 15 seconds. As the example, we'll set the recording time to 6 seconds.
  6. Face to the front camera lens.
  7. Tap to start recording the first video. Your phone will record yourself with the front camera for 6 seconds.
  8. Tap to start recording the next video. Repeat this step until you're finished recording for all frames of the selected layout.
  9. Once done, you'll be brought to a screen where you can review your video collage and make some adjustments to it.
  10. If needed, you can change the background music of your video collage and adjust its volume by using these steps:
    • Tap .
    • To change the background music of your video collage, tap None to view the list of available background music and then select the required background music you want to use.
    • Tap the Back key to return to the previous screen.
    • If needed, you can adjust the volume of the background music by sliding the bar below BG music to the left for quieter sound or to the right for louder sound.
    • If needed, you can adjust the volume of the video sound by sliding the bar below Video sound to the left for quieter sound or to the right for louder sound.
  11. If needed, you can add a tag at the end of your video collage by tapping and then select the desired tag you want to use.
  12. Tap to review your video collage.
  13. If you're satisfied with the result, tap Save to save your video collage.
