Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge: How to Use Secret Mode in Internet App in Android 5.1.1 Lollipop

Secret mode(it's commonly known as incognito mode) is a feature available in the Internet app in Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge that you can use to browse the Internet in private. When this mode is enabled, your browsing history won't be recorded so you can browse the Internet securely without leaving any trace.

How to use secret mode in the Internet app?
You can do so by using the following steps:
  1. Open the Internet app.
  2. To enable the secret mode, tap at the bottom right corner of the screen and then tap Enable secret.
  3. For security reason, it's recommended for you to set a password or enable fingerprints to access the secret mode because it can prevent unauthorized users from accessing your browser, bookmarks and saved pages made in the secret mode. Here's the steps:
    • Tap More at the top right and then select Secret mode security.
    • Tap the ON/OFF switch next to Use password to start making a password for secret mode.
    • Enter a password. As a note, if you'd like using your fingerprints as the alternative verification, check the box in the left side of Also fingerprints. Tap Continue button.
    • Re-enter the password to confirm it and then tap OK button.
    • From now on, you have to enter the password or use your fingerprints to access the secret mode.
    • Tap the Back key to return to the previous screen.
  4. While you're in the secret mode, you can use the Internet app as you used to do when in the regular mode, e.g., browse webpages, bookmark webpages, save webpages for offline reading, etc. As a note, the sites you visit won't be recorded, and all bookmarks and saved pages made in secret mode won't be shown when this mode is disabled.
  5. To disable or exit from the secret mode, tap at the bottom right corner of the screen and then tap Disable secret. FYI, this mode will automatically be disabled, when you close the Internet app.

    1. Hi Buddy,
      Thanks for coming.
Performing clear cache and clear data of the Internet app will help you reset the password of the Internet secret mode but it will also delete this app settings, bookmarks, history, and saved pages.
