Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge: How to Enable and Use Smart Alert Feature in Android 5.1.1 Lollipop

When the smart alert feature in your Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge is enabled, it'll set your phone to vibrate when you pick up your phone to notify you about missed calls and messages, helps to remind you to check the notifications as soon as you pick up your phone. When needed, you can call back or reply the message when it came from your important or favorite contacts.


How to enable the smart alert feature?
You can turn this feature on by using the following steps:
  1. While the screen is unlocked, swipe down the top of the screen to open up the notification panel and then tap at the top right to go to the settings menu.
  2. Scroll down to the Device section and then tap Motions and gestures.
  3. Slide the switch next to Smart alert to the right to enable the smart alert feature. The switch turns green when it's enabled.


How to use the smart alert feature?
See the following steps to use the smart alert feature:
  1. After you use your phone then put it down, the screen will automatically turn off after a set of interval.
  2. When you pick up your phone, your phone will vibrate when you have missed calls or messages.
