Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge: How to Adjust Automatic Screen Lock Delay in Android 5.1.1 Lollipop

By default, when you use one of the screen lock types with security lock feature(pattern, direction lock, PIN, password, or fingerprints) and the screen is off automatically, your Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge will auto lock the screen after the screen lock delay is over. When needed, you can adjust the delay to a shorter period if you concern with security issue and want your phone to auto lock the screen immediately or a few seconds after it automatically turns off, or you can set it to a longer period if you'd like to have more time to easily access your phone without performing the screen lock type after the screen automatically turns off.

How to adjust automatic screen lock delay?
You can do so by using the following steps:
  1. While the screen is unlocked, swipe down the top of the screen to open up the notification panel and then tap at the top right to go to the settings menu.
  2. Scroll down to the Personal section and then tap Lock screen and security.
  3. Tap Secure lock settings.
  4. Tap Lock automatically.
  5. Select the required screen lock delay from the following options:
    • Immediately: select this option to auto lock the screen once the screen is off automatically.
