Samsung Galaxy S5: How to Export Contacts to Device Storage in Android 4.4.2 Kitkat

For some reason, you will probably need to export your contacts list as .vcf file, for instance when you need to backup your contacts list or when you need to send your contacts list to other phones, etc. Fortunately, the stock Contacts app lets you export your contacts list as .vcf file, either to the SD card or to the device storage.

How to export contacts list as .vcf file to the device storage?
You can do so by using the following steps:
  1. Open Contacts app.
  2. If needed, tap the Contacts tab.
  3. Tap or long press the Recent apps key to open up the additional options and then select Settings.
  4. Tap Contacts.
  5. Tap Import/export.
  6. Tap Export to device storage to export your contacts list as .vcf file to the device storage.
  7. Tap OK button to continue exporting contacts.
  8. The contacts list will be exported shortly as .vcf file and will be saved in the device storage. You'll be notified in the notification panel when the process is completed.
