Samsung Galaxy S5: How to Add Multiple Google Accounts in Android 4.4.2 Kitkat

I do believe that most of you may have already known that you can add multiple Google accounts in your Samsung Galaxy S5. This ability lets you to add more than one Google accounts in your phone and use each of them to access or use other Google-related apps, e.g: Gmail, Youtube, Play Store, Hangouts etc.

How to add another Google account?
Assuming that you have added your first Google account in your phone, now you can add the second one by using two common methods available: from the setting menu and from a Google-related app.

Method #1: From the settings menu
It is the most common method to add any account into your phone, including with the Google account. Use the following steps to add another Google account from the settings menu:
  1. On any screen, swipe down the top of the screen to open up the notification panel and then tap to go to the settings menu.
  2. With the settings menu is displayed in grid view, scroll down to the User and backup section and then tap Accounts .
  3. Tap Add account.
  4. Tap Google.
  5. Here, you'll be presented with two buttons to add your another Google account, they are:
    • Existing: tap this button to add your existing Google account.
    • New: tap this button to create a new Google account.
  6. Next, you just need to follow the on-screen instructions to complete the setup.
  7. Once done, the newly added Google account will be listed in the Google account list.

Method #2: From a Google-related app
Basically, you can add another Google account from some of Google-related apps, but as the example we'll do so from the Gmail app. I choose Gmail app because its newest version, Gmail 5.0, now has the new feature to add another Google account. Use the following steps to do so:
  1. Open Gmail app.
  2. Tap located at the top left corner of the screen.
  3. Tap the profile photo or the name of your existing Google account to view more options.
  4. Tap Add account.
  5. Tap Google.
  6. Tap OK button.
  7. Here, you'll be presented with two buttons to add your Google account, they are:
    • Existing: tap this button to add your existing Google account.
    • New: tap this button to create a new Google account.
  8. Next, you just need to follow the on-screen instructions to complete the setup.
  9. Once done, the newly added Google account will be listed above the Add account option as you have seen in the step #4.

Having multiple Google accounts will be able to provide you some benefits, for instance you can use each of them for different purpose(personal/business/other purpose), you can also have a different settings on each account, etc.
