Samsung Galaxy S5: How to Forward a Text Message in Android 4.4.2 Kitkat

In certain case, you probably want to send a text message that you have received from particular contact to the different contacts, for instance when you want to re-send a text message about a good news you have received to some of your friends. Instead of copying the message manually, you can forward the message so that the body of the message will be copied automatically in the create new message screen and then let you to send it to any contact you want. As same as when you create a new message, you can forward a text message to a single or multiple contacts at once.

How to forward a text message?
You can do so by using the following steps;
  1. Open Messaging app.
  2. Tap a conversation.
  3. Long tap the required message until a pop up menu is displayed and then select Forward.
  4. Enter the first letter of the recipient's name in the enter recipients field, all matching contacts will be displayed which you can select the required one (repeat it to add multiple recipients), or tap to select contacts from the Contacts app.
  5. Tap to send the message.

Unfortunately, the stock Messaging app can only forward the body of the message without including the original message detail(the sender, date and time, etc) that you may have seen when you forwarded an email message from particular contact to the another ones.

    1. Hi Barry Dawe,
      Thanks for coming.
      When we're in easy mode, we'll only have "delete" and "copy text" options when long pressing a message bubble. If you want to be able to forward a message, switch your phone back to the standard mode.

    6. Hi Toni Draca,
      Thanks for coming.
      Try the following steps to switch back your Galaxy S5 from easy mode to the standard mode:
      1. While you're in the easy mode, swipe down the top of the screen to open up the notification panel and then tap the settings icon(it's like a cog wheel) at the top right to go to the easy mode settings menu.
      2. Tap "Easy mode" button.
      3. Select "Standard mode" and then tap "Done" button.
