How to change lock screen background image?
Let's start with the first thing that is fun: change background image on your phone's lockscreen. It's easy, simply by follow the steps below:
  1. Go to any home screen with no shortcuts.
  2. Press and hold down until a pop-up screen.
  3. Select "Lockscreen" from an existing list.
  4. Select the "gallery" if you want a custom image from your gallery, or you can select "Wallpaper" if you want a custom image from the image that has been provided by Samsung in this phone.
  5. Select the image you want.
  6. If the image you want to have a size that does not fit or you just want to take part, then in this section you can crop to adjust the image. Once you have finished touch "done" button which is usually located in the upper right corner.
  7. Finish, now your lock screen background image has changed.


How to unlock lock screen?
In addition you can customize the background image on the lockscreen, you can also unlock the lock screen with a variety of different ways. Each way has its own function, they are:
  1. Swipe
    This is the basic way that you can use to unloack lock screen on your phone. When you touch lock screen with your finger it will arise ripple effect. And if you swipe your finger then your device will unlock. The advantages to using this method is that you can also get a lot of options to customize the look and feel of your lokcscreen. You can start this by go to settings-> scroll down until you find the Security tab-> Select Lock screen option.
  2. Motion
    This is almost similar to the swipe. You can unlock your phone by putting your finger on the screen and tilt it forward. This method also has the same advantage that belongs to the swipe method. And you can get it in the same way as well.
  3. Face unlock
    You can simply unlock your phone by putting your face in front of the camera.
  4. Face and voice
    This is almost the same as face unlock, the difference is in addition you need to show the face in front of the camera, you also have to say a word to unlock your phone.
  5. Pattern
    You can unlock lock screen on your phone by drawing the pattern that you specify before.
  6. PIN
    You can also use a PIN that you specify before to unlock your phone's lockscreen.
  7. Password
    Just as the PIN, you can unlock your phone using password that you specify before.
  8. None
    If you use this option, it means your phone will unlock when you hit the power button.

How to change lock screen shortcut?
You can change your lock screen shortcuts by following the below steps:
  1. Press down on your screen.
  2. Now, you are on the screen that you can use to remove or add a shortcut by press the icon you want to remove then drag it to the trash.
  3. After successfully removed, it will appear sign (+) on the shortcut which is previously removed, which means you can add new shortcuts available by pressing this button.
  4. Turn of the screen by tapping the power button when you have completed all.
  5. Now, your new lock screen will appear with a new shortcut when you press the power button again.

You can try to use it by putting your finger on the one that you want to access.       FYI, these instructions are for Galaxy S3 with Android 4.0. So, it may not works in other devices. If you don't mind, can you please tell me what would you like to do with your S3 Mini? Do you want to change lock screen wallpaper or turn off screen lock or else?
